Impact crushers are designed for crushing hard and medium-hard materials such as dolomite, granite, limestone, clinker, sandstone, coal. However, the amount of loamy and clayey impurities in such materials must not exceed 15%, whereas moisture of the same must not be greater than 20%. Impact crushers are used to prepare material for the construction of roads and railway embankments. They also crush material to be further process in other machines, e.g. in mills.
For fast replacement of parts, the machine has a divided body which can be opened using hydraulic equipment and mechanical jacks included in the crusher. The crusher rotor is driven by an electric motor. The crusher is characterised by a compact and simple structure of a relatively small size, and made of materials which guarantee high durability of machine parts. Specially designed crushers are capable of crushing hard materials, e.g. boulders.
